Screaming kids and startled old ladies

I have been very busy lately planning a wedding, and although I havn't really been scanning my sketches, I had the time to make a few comic pages. This is the first page of a project that I recently submitted to a publication. It didn't get selected so I will post it here.

Je suis très occupé ces temps ci a organiser mon marriage alors je n'ai pas eu beaucoup de temps pour numériser mes croquis. Cependant, j'ai fait quelques planches. Voici la première planche d'un projet qui n'a pas été retenue pour une publication. Je la partage donc ici.

Superman

No, I'm not going to write about the man of steel movie.
The NCC recently oragnised an activity on Canada day 2013 entitled "A salute to Superman and Joe Shuster" celebrating the 75th anniversary of Superman. I was one of the 2 cartoonists on site making live superman drawings and interacting with the public. Here are some photos of the event as well as 2 drawing done that day. I don't usually do fan art, but this was a very fun experience.

La CCN a recemment organisé une activitée intitulée "A salute to Superman and Joe Shuster" pour célébrer le 75e anniversaire de Superman. J'étais un des 2 dessinateurs sur place pour faire des dessins en direct et interagir avec le public. Voici quelques photos de l'évenement et 2 dessins que j'ai réalisé sur les lieux. Je ne fait pas habituellement de fanarts, mais je me suis bien amusé.

This was the view from our booth. As you can see, it was quite a turnout. Voici une photo de mon point de vue. Comme vous pouvez voir, il y a eu beaucoup d'achalandage.

First post / Premiere note

Welcome to everyone who might be reading this.
My name is Sacha Ravenda and I am an artist who keeps a lot of sketchbooks. I figured that it would be a shame to let most of those sketchbook drawings rot inside a closet. Therefore, I am starting this art blog.

You can expect to find lots of drawing of random creatures and fantasy style characters. I will also use this space to show various elements from comic projects that I will be working on, such as character designs, sample pages etc.

Je m’appelle Sacha Ravenda et je suis un artiste qui remplit énormément de carnets de croquis. Puisque je trouvais qu’il était dommage de garder ceux-ci caché dans mon garde-robe, je me suis parti ce blog de dessin.
